Portland-Announce is an email subscription moderated by the Portland RCs. If you know about an event, class, picnic, meetup, fire spinning, build, or something else really cool going on in the Burning Man Portland community and want to share it with others in the community, follow these steps:

1. Draft an email the way you would draft a press release. Make sure you format it exactly the way you want people to receive it, including a good subject line. In the body of the email include any important information like who is putting on the event, what the event is for and how it’s related to Burning Man or the Portland regional community, where the event will take place, when it’s happening (date and time), and any other information you think is helpful to know. 

Do not put “Can you send this out on portland-announce?” at the top of your email.

2. Send your email to Portland-announce@burningman.org

3. Portland RCs will review your request and approve or deny it, typically within 72 hours.  Discretion is left to RCs who evaluate each post.
